I have a running list on my phone of things I'm coveting. Though a little ridiculous, it's also nice to have a list of things I want when Valentine's day or my birthday (or any old random day someone wants to give me something) comes up.
Anywho, I'm always adding to the list and below are a few of the things I'm currently coveting. Big time.

making a statement.
I love me some Gossip Girl and last Monday many of the characters were rocking one of my favorite jewelry looks: the statement necklace.
Below are several screenshots.

what i want.
I'm one of those people who is always making lists -- things I need to do, things we need from the grocery store, walgreens, etc., and of course, things I want.
So, here are three of the thing on my want list, in no particular order:
So, here are three of the thing on my want list, in no particular order:
With two shedding machines pugs, we should be are constantly vacuuming the hair that they shed. Imagine how much more fun it would be with a Dyson!
The J. Crew Minnie pants. I've been wanting some black skinny ankle-length pants. I really think you can dress these up or down.
What's on your want list?
The Le Creuset Dutch Oven is not only gorgeous {and comes in many different colors} but it's nice and big and is oven-safe! I'll take one in every color, please.

Random Thursday
•I saw on Saturday that Cynthia Vincent was debuting her line for Target on Sunday. My plan was to hit up Tarjay the day it came out, but that just didn't happen. So, then on Wednesday, after a quick photoshoot, I wanted to check out the goods. Can you believe that in a little over 3 days that the entire section was pretty much picked over? {Yes...} Wow!
I was in luck, though, there was still a pair of the cute wedges left in my size, so I snagged 'em. I almost got the cute flats {like Christine} but they made my big toe look way too long {I've been sensitive to that ever since this guy called me out for having the longest big toe he'd ever seen...thanks for that, dude.}.

sorry for the midgy picture, it's all i could pull off of the Target website
•More Target news -- Zac Posen for Target starts this Sunday. Uhh, two words: yes, please. Check out a sneak peak here.
•Congrats to Sam Bradford, Gerald McCoy and Trent Williams {all loyal Sooners} on being selected in the first round of the NFL draft tonight. Ahem, they went 1, 3 and 4.
Yay Sam!!!
•The OKC Thunder are in the playoffs and on Sunday I went with some friends to a new pub in OKC to watch the first game in their series with the Lakers. It's called RePUBlic Gastropub. The food was pretty good -- I had the pulled chicken melt with a serrano honey mustard sauce that was HOT. I think it's definitely worth going back to, but maybe not to watch a game -- or if that's the plan, we're definitely waiting a little longer so they can get the service kinks worked out. Anyway, my food was really good and B got the fish and chips, which looked bomb. If you're in the OKC area, check it out.
•Ok, this is super random, but if I were to have my rehearsal dinner all over again, I think I would have worn white {hello, the only time anyone can really wear white to any kind of wedding event is when you're the bride} -- I wore a plum velvet dress from Juicy that I still really love. Anyway, I was on Shopbop the other day and found the most gorg dress. And, even though I've been married for a while, I kinda wish I could go back in time and wear this dress -- or stay in the present and find a good reason to purchase it. Any ideas?
Aja Strapless dress by ADAM, $276 {on sale}
I looove the ruching and the length. Ugh! Swoon!! If only it came in black.

FriDee
As in ... Friday. I hate it when people say fridee, or thursdee or sundee. It's day, people. Come on!
Anyway, I've hit the road for Austin, while J is holdin down the fort in good ole Oklahoma. It's just short weekend trip, but I'm excited to see my family, and my brother from CO is going to be in town, too!
On to the real reason I'm posting. With Spring here for {what seems like} good, I'm on the hunt for some cute new Spring clothes, and whether or not they actually end up in closet is a whole other story. Here are a couple things I can't get off my mind:

Liquid Sunshine dress from here {$55}
Ruffle Strap Minidress by Thread Social, from here {$520 ... ouch} Oh, and I keep seeing this dress everywhere. I saw it on another blog, on shopbop and then at a local store -- we photographed it for their next ad. And, it's just as gorgeous in person.
Zora Skirt from here {$34}
Old Town Bandstand Dress from here {$38}
Chinese Laundry Sweet Caroline flats from here {$39}
Liberty of London Keyhole Tank from here {$19.99}
As you can tell, I'm into prints and anything in bright colors {and unlike other Oklahomans, I am not averse to orange!}.
Is there anything you just have to have for Spring?

Jeggins?
Please tell me you watch Kell on Earth {on Bravo} ...
If you're not watching you're missing out on a lot of bitching and clueless girls who "want to get into the fashion industry" but then can't cut it good fashion knowledge.
Kelly Cutrone, owner of People's Revolution {former employer of Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port -- does she still work there?, both of MTV reality fame}, is a very honest ball-buster in the cutthroat world of fashion PR.
I pretty much love watching this show. From Stephanie V. effing just about everything up and male models collapsing and messing up a fashion show installation to Kelly's adorable 7 year old daughter and a male assistant who wears anything from denim overalls to a full-length black gown, this show has it all.
On a recent episode {the same one where the male model collapsed} models were installed for a Genetic Denim show during fashion week. One of the female models is wearing jeggins {jeans + leggings = jeggins}. And, although I'm still a little unsure as to what they are exactly, I'm definitely sure I'm not quite aboard that train {yet, anyway}.
Are they leggings material with denim markings printed on them? Are they made of denim but are just so stretchy they emulate leggings?
Here are a few pairs that I've found online. I'm thinking I need to see these in person, and they'll definitely take a try-on before jumping on the jeggin {btw, Kelly says jeggin but I'm not comfortable with saying it so slangily, unless of course that's what they're called. And let's be honest, if that's what Kelly Cutrone is calling them, that's most likely what they're called...} bandwagon.

The first three pairs of jeggin{g}s are from shopbop.com and the last one is from lulus.com {a great place for affordable but trendy clothing that not everyone will have because it's not Forever21}

The look for less
How much do you guys love Target? I think it's safe to say that i LOOOOVE Target.
Now, because i LOOOOVE Target, I'm always right on top of the who's going to be the newest designer doing their looks for less. And, three days ago, Anna Sui debuted her line for Target.
Can I tell you that I love her stuff? I have a dress of hers that I got from Anthropologie a couple of years ago that I still absolutely love. I've worn it to several weddings, and although I haven't broken it out in a while, it's still always at the top of my list.

Anyway, her Target line is pretty great. This dress is definitely one of my faves {and it's only $69.99!!}. I've also found a couple of other must-haves.
If you aren't familiar with Anna Sui, check her out here and then check out her stuff at Target, I think you'll love the pretty clothes ... and the pretty prices. Her aesthetic is kinda modern-boho-chic and definitely wearable. I'm not all that boho in my everyday styling, but a piece here and there could potentially take a look from "eh" to "wow"!
The other thing {that I just thought of} is that I really love all those fab embellished t-shirts. There are a bunch at J.Crew and I've found a couple from other designers. But, it just seems like $125 {or more} for a t-shirt is a teensy bit outrageous... So, I'm wondering if it would be doable to make your own? Would this require a sewing machine? Do I need a bedazzler? These are important questions, people.
