I Refuse to Get Old!

So, it's been awhile since my last post. As you can see, our last issue of Boyd Street was about a band that's been gaining a lot of recognition around Norman. He and his band even played at halftime of the OU/Kansas basketball game at Lloyd Noble! Crazy. Anyway, we saw him play for the second time at Brothers on Saturday. As always, it was a good time.

We started our evening eating the best pizza in
Norman at JJ's Pizza Stop (yes, there still churning out great pizza) and drinking what we like to lovingly call "crack beer." The meaning of this is different for everyone, but it seems that a pitcher of JJ's beer gets to you a little faster than other establishments' beer. It definitely makes for a good time!

So, after good company (mostly) and good food, we made our way to Brothers to check out Matt Bogg's Band. Robert (John's cousin), Lisa (Robert's girlfriend), Megan (Robert's sister), Nick (Roberts roommate...seeing a pattern here?) were all there, along with many other adoring fans. It feels a bit strange to go out and mingle with kids still in college...I miss that!

Here are some pics:

So, that was our fun-filled weekend. We had a great time and it's so fun to get out and hear great music!

I'm headed to Talehquah (sp?) this weekend to hang out with Beth for her last weekend there! I'm way pumped and can't wait to share the pics!

Odds & Ends

Well, Valentine's Day has come and gone. John and I had big plans to cook at home and enjoy some champagne and maybe a DVD. BUT...there was a bit of a change in plans.

We started the day at the OU/Tech basketball game...yay
B. Griffin on his 40 pt/23 rebound game. We would not be a top 5 team without him, his brother or newcomer Juan Pattillo. That guy really adds something!

So far we haven't been up to anything really fun and exciting, but we're working on it.

My friend, Missy, has invited me to participate in a boot camp. I'm not sure if I'm in, but I know if I did it, I'd have fun and get great workouts in the mean time!

Well, since I don't have any fun pics or antedoes just yet, I'll leave you with some pics from the sleet/ice we got in Oklahoma a couple of weeks back and some pictures from Christmas with my family.
